Overview
Doncaster College is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer to join our Health and Social Care team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, supporting learners to achieve their potential, and contributing to the continued development of our curriculum. Salary and Hours
Actual Salary: £21,414.29- £27,105.21 (Pro rata of £33,787- £42,766). Working hours: 22.5 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – 8:30am to 5:00pm).
Essential Criteria
- A relevant degree in Health and Social Care.
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
- Experience or knowledge of working within a Health and Social Care setting.
- Ability to motivate learners and manage behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inclusive teaching across a range of Health and Social Care programmes.
- Provide high-quality learning experiences that support student progress towards successful completion.
- Use innovative and creative teaching approaches, including new and emerging technologies.
- Maintain accurate records, including registers, assessments, eILPs and progress tracking documentation.
- Support course management activities, including planning, quality assurance and standardisation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, student support teams, and—when appropriate—parents/carers.
- Contribute to safeguarding, equality, diversity and health and safety across the curriculum area.
- Participate in meetings, open events, promotional activities and flexible working where required.
