We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Animal Management Lecturer to join our dedicated team. This role involves delivering high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of further education courses, working in both classroom and practical animal‑care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment sessions.
- Supervise students in classroom and practical animal‑care environments, promoting independence and safe working.
- Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback and implement strategies to support achievement.
- Contribute to curriculum development, including course materials and programme improvement.
- Participate in recruitment activities, open events and community engagement to promote the provision.
- Support pastoral needs of learners, ensuring a positive, inclusive and student‑centred environment.
- Maintain accurate records, including assessment tracking and individual learning plans.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective delivery and continuous improvement of programmes.
Essential Criteria
- Significant industry experience in animal management (minimum 5 years).
- Relevant qualification in animal management (Level 3 or above) and subject expertise.
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Experience delivering or supporting teaching and learning in an education or training environment.
