The vacancy

Are you passionate about developing the next generation of health and social care professionals? DN Colleges Group is seeking a dedicated Apprenticeship Trainer Assessor to join our Health, Social Care and Childcare team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in partnership with employers and support apprentices across Levels 2–5, helping them achieve their qualifications and progress in their careers.

You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, training, and assessment, while also supporting internal verification processes and maintaining strong relationships with employers and awarding bodies.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant subject (ideally Health and Social Care)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People’s Services)
  • Teaching/training qualification or relevant teaching experience
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above
  • Relevant experience in training, teaching, or assessing apprenticeships/NVQs

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with employers to promote apprenticeship provision and support learner placements
  • Deliver teaching, training, and assessment across a range of levels and formats (classroom, workplace, online)
  • Provide guidance and support to learners throughout their apprenticeship journey
  • Ensure compliance with college, employer, funding, and awarding body requirements
  • Undertake internal verification and contribute to quality assurance processes

Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.

Let’s Bloom

The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
