Salary: £35,412 – £38,220 per annum (Salary Band H Point 24 to 27)

Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week

About the Role

Deliver responsive first‑line HR advisory and operational service across the Trust, ensuring consistent application of HR processes and smooth management of the full employee lifecycle. The role includes recruitment and onboarding, contract issuance, GDPR‑compliant record keeping, probation monitoring, policy updates, HR projects, and support of a seamless HR system workflow. The HR Advisor will line‑manage the HR Assistant and provide coaching and development to build capability within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, accurate HR advice to academy colleagues and managers.
  • Deliver efficient recruitment and onboarding service across academies.
  • Issue contracts, variation letters, and leaver documentation.
  • Maintain high‑quality, GDPR‑compliant HR records.
  • Monitor probation periods, fixed‑term contract end dates, and policy updates.
  • Assist with HR project work and support consistent use of HR systems and digital workflows.
  • Line‑manage the HR Assistant, overseeing transactional activity and administration.
  • Maintain a visible, responsive presence across academies and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure compliance, confidentiality, and operational excellence.
