Job description: Childcare Assistant supporting pupils before and after school in the Wrap Around Care provision. Cover both AM and PM childcare sessions, or either.
Key Responsibilities:- Support learning: Assist in the delivery of engaging, play‑based learning activities in line with the curriculum.
- Nurture & care: Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, and social care for children, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
- Supervision: Monitor children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and lunch breaks to ensure safety and positive behaviour.
- Group work: Lead small group activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Observation: Help track and record children’s progress and development milestones.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
