Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure is required for appointment to this post.
The role will involve supporting young people aged between 16 and 18 years old in their preparation for independence through the Key to your Future Project supported accommodation. This includes:
- Supporting young people to access education, training and employment opportunities.
- Assisting them to complete the preparation for independence & Wellbeing programmes.
- Helping them to develop prosocial interests through positive activities.
We are looking for experienced and motivated individuals to support staff with our young people on their road to independence. We are committed to ensuring that care experienced young people transition successfully to living independently.
The applicant will need:
- Experience of working with young people, children in care and care leavers.
- To be a supportive and inspirational member of the support team.
- Some experience of therapeutic approaches and a willingness to develop then use of these in the service.
- To be an innovative and creative thinker who looks for opportunities to improve the offer to our young people.
