The City of Doncaster Council puts improving the life of its residents at the centre of everything we do. We are looking for a confident and ambitious individual to join the Mental Health Social Work Team as an Advanced Practitioner.
The Mental Health Social Work Team work in partnership with secondary mental health services to provide an integrated, high quality Social Work service to adults and carers in accordance with the Care Act (2014) statutory requirements, local policy, procedure and guidance. We work with a diverse population including preparing young people for adulthood, working age adults, older persons with functional mental health needs and carers.

Duties include:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of competence in Social Work practice and make use of their knowledge, skills and experience to provide comprehensive casework support and advice to professionals within the team. The candidate will be responsible for facilitating good quality supervision to staff and appraisal of practice and performance. You will have the opportunity to supervise and assess colleagues undergoing their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment and social work students on placement. You will take a proactive role in developing and improving the service. You will demonstrate excellent partnership working to ensure effective integration between health and social care through collaboration with stakeholders and partners across Doncaster.
