Exciting opportunity for a Youth Worker to support young people who access care at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up a youth forum and will support and empower young patients with their healthcare. The main aim of the post is to support inpatients and outpatients with a range of health and social issues. You will be required to work across both Doncaster and Bassetlaw.
Main duties of the job:
- You will lead the development of services for young people, ensuring our patients are at the heart of what we do.
- You will be required to act as an advocate and source of support for young people.
- You will need to work flexibly and assist with the provision of a varied programme of personal, social and educational developmental activities during the day and evening, face to face, online, independently and in group settings with a wide variety of young people.

Experience:
- Experience of working as a youth worker in an acute health setting.
- Experience of working with young people in a wide variety of settings.
- Experience of developing programs to support transition to adult services.
Qualifications:
- Youth Work Degree.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
Skills:
- Ability to organise and facilitate day and residential visits/outings with the young people.
- Experience of project management.
- Experience of audit projects.
