Job Description

Further your career and take on a new challenge as a Functional Specialist!\\nWe are recruiting for hybrid working Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics to make the most of their existing clinical knowledge and take on a new role with a leading, multi-national employer with Full time roles available.\\nAs a Functional Specialist you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government’s disability allowance (PIP) whilst ensuring a personalised, inclusive and empathetic service for the service user.\\nBenefits Include:\\n * Starting salary of £39,500 + Bonus\\n * After approval you will be eligible for a discretionary bonus of 10% of base salary, subject to quality and performance\\n * OTE: £43,450\\n * Salary increases upon successful completion of training stages\\n * Hybrid, Full time\\n * Training: Full time, 5 weeks’\\n * 25 days Holidays per annum, rising to 27 days with service\\n * Company Laptop and Mobile Phone provided\\n * Access to Health & Wellbeing programme and Headspace mobile app\\n * Annual charity day\\n * Employee network groups\\n * Company matched pension\\n * Life assurance\\n * 15 weeks’ paid maternity\\n * Cycle2work scheme\\nYour New Role:\\n * As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will manage caseloads from end to end which includes delivering face to face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls and paper-based reports (PBR).\\n * As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will have greater job variety and autonomy to manage cases to conclusion.\\n * You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.\\n * You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings.\\nRequirements\\n * Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic.\\n * 1+ years post qualification experience.\\n * Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.\\n * Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy
