With stores in Kilrea and Limavady, the company serves local customers and also offers a state-of-the-art e-commerce site with free delivery across Northern Ireland, Ireland, and Great Britain. Donaghy Bros caters to both domestic and trade customers and prides itself on offering exceptional customer service and competitive prices.

Integrating into our existing purchasing department, you will be responsible for maintaining and further developing our current portfolio of products. Reporting to the purchasing manager, you will look for new products within current product categories, as well as suggesting new category opportunities to pursue.

Working Hours: Mon - Fri 9am - 5.30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with the sales team and efficiently manage supplier relationships to meet customer demands and maximize profitability.
  • Analyse market trends to help make quantified buying decisions.
  • Maintain and further develop our excellent relationships with our brand partners.
  • Develop our range with both existing suppliers and new suppliers.
  • Analyse stock days to ensure lines that are slow moving are looked at when re-ordering.
  • Analyse price, profitability and margin in our lines to see where best to invest.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing role (1 Year Preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvements through the purchasing process.
