Don & Low are currently seeking a driven and technically skilled Development Engineer to join the team in Forfar. This is a dynamic role where your engineering expertise will support innovation, product development and process optimisation across our manufacturing operations.
As a Development Engineer, you’ll play a key role in trialling new products, supporting production teams with complex technical challenges and evaluating new materials and equipment to drive strategic growth. Reporting to the Development Manager, you’ll collaborate across departments and with external partners to ensure smooth transitions from development to production while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial or process engineering environment
- Time-served background in engineering, process control or material science
- Educated to Scottish Higher level (or equivalent) in a STEM discipline
- Engineering or scientific mindset and approach preferred
- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent numeracy, record keeping, literacy and IT skills essential
- Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset
- Confident communicator and effective team player
