Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where you can truly make an impact and shape the future of care?
A rapidly growing, values-led care provider is looking for an ambitious and experienced Business Development Manager to drive the expansion of their complex supported living and complex care services.

The organisation provides specialist Complex Care in individuals’ own homes (including tracheostomy, PEG feeding, ABI) alongside high-level Supported Living services (typically 5–6 bed units with bespoke packages of support).

Having undergone significant improvement and consolidation, the organisation is now entering a period of strong, strategic growth — but with a strong commitment to ethical leadership, team wellbeing, and putting the people supported at the heart of everything they do.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead on the growth and development of Supported Living services, with a goal of adding 35 new beds per year over the next 3 years.
  • Contribute to the broader expansion of Complex Care services.
  • Begin with hands-on, foundational work, and gradually build and lead a team to support business development initiatives.
  • Work alongside an experienced leadership team who understand the challenges and opportunities of business development.
  • Focus on growing services within existing regions — no need to break into new territories.
  • Develop relationships with commissioners and stakeholders to ensure services meet local authority expectations.
  • Key Skills

  • Proven experience in Business Development or Operational Management within the care sector.
  • A track record of significant service growth or project leadership in supported living.
  • Strong knowledge of commissioner expectations and local authority dynamics.
  • Experience in complex supported living is essential.
  • Ideally, exposure to complex care models (in own-home settings).
  • A values-driven personality — collaborative, positive, and focused on people, not just numbers.
  • An ability to balance strategic vision with the ability to get stuck in and lead from the front.
  • Benefits:

  • This is a hybrid role. Candidates can be based near one of the organisation’s operational areas
  • Flexible working is welcomed — this role is about impact and outcomes, not where your desk is.
  • Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum (up to £65,000 for the right person)
  • Bonus: Potential available, to be discussed individually
  • Progression: Opportunity to shape your role and build a team
  • Culture: Ethical leadership, positive team culture, and a genuine commitment to improving lives
