Domus Recruitment are working with a domiciliary care provider to recruit a Regional Director to oversee services across Kent and East Sussex. Reporting to the Director of Care, the Regional Director will provide direction and leadership to their team, whilst maintaining accountability for regional financial, quality and compliance results. This role will also be responsible for leading and developing three direct reports, ensuring effective performance management and succession planning across the region.

What’s on offer:

  • Salary of £80,000 - £90,000 per annum.
  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • Monday to Friday working pattern.
  • Home and regional-based role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the responsibilities of the Registered Provider as defined within The Health and Social Care Act 2008 and subsidiary regulations and standards statements.
  • Appoint Registered Managers in accordance with legislation.
  • Provide direction and leadership through Branch Managers and the Quality & Compliance Manager.
  • Maintain accountability for regional financial, quality and compliance results.
  • Prepare the annual business plan and communicate appropriate contents to employees.
  • Ensure the defined management system is carried out.
  • Conduct an unannounced visit to each branch at least every three months.
  • Ensure regular review of policies takes place at specified intervals.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of individuals supported by the service.
  • Induct new starters in accordance with company policy.
  • Lead, motivate and direct staff.
  • Conduct effective performance management, supervision and annual appraisals for direct reports.
  • Develop direct reports to their full potential and support succession planning.
  • Ensure multidisciplinary team working is embedded within the organisation.
  • Participate in the evaluation of services against organisational goals, business objectives and quality objectives.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining professional development and undertaking relevant training.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proficient written skills, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Budget management skills, including monitoring expenditure and understanding budget plans.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Previous experience working within a similar environment.
  • Experience leading teams and working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Previous experience working as a manager within a domiciliary care setting.
  • Experience working with service users who have additional support needs.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Experience working in a supervisory capacity.
  • Understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, dignity, independence and promoting positive outcomes for people using services.
