Domus is in search of a dedicated Service Manager for a leading provider of care, to join a residential care setting supporting adults with Learning disabilities, Autism, Mental health needs, and Complex care requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled team and make a real difference in people’s lives.

The Role:

As Service Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager and a second Service Manager to ensure the smooth and effective running of the service. You will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of staff while maintaining the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, promoting safe and effective working practices.
  • Support, mentor, and develop staff through supervision, appraisals, and coaching.
  • Develop, implement, and review person-centred support plans and risk management plans.
  • Conduct audits of care documentation, health action plans, and risk assessments.
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and staff.
  • Investigate complaints, incidents, and concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, company policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with data protection legislation.
  • Conduct health & safety and lone-working risk assessments.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or working towards Level 5).
  • Experience managing staff, including rotas, appraisals, and disciplinary processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Person-centred approach with the ability to “see the person behind the behaviour.”
