We are seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead revenue growth, pricing discipline, and commercial performance across an established UK Care franchise. This is a senior leadership role focused on sustainable growth, margin protection, and franchisee success within a regulated care environment. Reporting to the CEO / Managing Director, the role ensures franchisees are commercially viable, franchisor income is scalable and predictable, and pricing and contracts support high-quality, ethical care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial strategy and drive network-wide growth across private pay, commissioned income, and franchisor fees.
- Own and govern pricing frameworks, including recommended hourly rates and minimum margin thresholds.
- Protect the network against unprofitable discounting and loss-making contracts.
- Support franchisees with pricing decisions, local authority negotiations, tenders, and contract reviews.
- Drive franchisor income growth and identify new commercial value-creating income streams.
- Oversee and monitor franchisee commercial performance, including revenue growth, margin, and client mix.
- Constructively challenge underperformance and implement commercial improvement plans.
- Enable sales and business development through playbooks, pricing tools, and value-based selling frameworks.
- Provide high-quality commercial insight, forecasting, and reporting to the Board and senior leadership.
- Ensure all commercial decisions align with regulatory requirements, ethical care standards, and brand values.
About You
- Proven experience as a Commercial Director or senior commercial leader within a multi-site, franchised, or networked business.
- Demonstrable track record of driving revenue growth while protecting margin.
- Clear experience developing and growing private-pay revenue streams through pricing strategy and value-led selling.
- Strong expertise in pricing, margin management, P&L ownership, and commercial forecasting.
- Comfortable influencing, challenging, and supporting franchise owners and senior stakeholders.
- Experience within care, healthcare, or other regulated services is highly desirable.
