An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to take overall responsibility for a 32-bed specialist service supporting males and females with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), progressive neurological conditions and associated physical health needs.
The service supports individuals with a range of complex needs, including epilepsy, communication and swallowing difficulties, as well as individuals who may require respiratory support through ventilation and/or tracheostomy.
This is a full-time leadership position, working 37.5 hours per week with some on-call responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the service, including quality, compliance, clinical oversight, and the delivery of high standards of person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring high standards of care and compliance
- Providing clinical leadership and oversight of care delivery, ensuring residents' complex health and neurological needs are appropriately assessed, managed and reviewed
- Overseeing the safe delivery of clinical interventions and ensuring staff have the appropriate training, competence and support to meet residents' needs
- Leading, supporting and developing a dedicated care team
- Supporting the assessment and implementation of individual care plans
- Ensuring a safe, positive and nurturing environment for residents
- Promoting dignity, wellbeing and independence across the service
- Supporting residents to achieve their goals, develop skills and confidence, and engage in meaningful activities within the community
- Taking overall responsibility for quality, compliance and budgets
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for residents
Key requirements of a Registered Manager:
- NMC or HCPC registration is essential
- Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or working towards it
- Experience supporting individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
- Experience working within neurological rehabilitation
- Experience in tracheostomy management would be beneficial
- Experience supporting people requiring long-term ventilation would be beneficial
