Role Purpose
To effectively and efficiently ensure that the EMEA Region wide IT infrastructure is operational and to propose improvements, modifications to all technology that will improve operating effectiveness and efficiency in line with the EMEA IT change management strategy. To ensure customer satisfaction of all EMEA IT services provided. Ensure all Endpoints meet the established group security baseline. Provide technical subject matter expertise on Linux.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the IT Lead in the delivery of IT services
- Act as an interface between the wider Regional and Corporate IT teams to ensure system integration and consistent technical approaches
- Ensure compliance with configuration management and change control processes within the IT services architecture
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues to maintain high availability and service continuity
- Assist the IT team with the deployment, evaluation, and optimisation of new technologies and enhancements to existing systems
- Ensure EMEA systems are appropriately backed up and that disaster recovery procedures are established, maintained, and regularly reviewed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all IT infrastructure in line with current standards
Key Skills & Experience
- Ability to translate requirements, plans and proposals into documents supporting business cases and other strategic requirements reviewed by IT & Business Leadership
- Demonstrable IT service delivery experience
- Experience with projects and challenging technical requirements
- Proven experience and results influencing internal and external stakeholders
- Linux (Ubuntu) System Administration
- Windows 11+ / 2019+
- Virtual Infrastructure Technologies (Nutanix / VMWare)
- Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange O365 Support
- End User Device, Servers Support (Dell & HP Hardware)
- Endpoint Security and Patch Management
- Monitoring toolsets (SNMP, PRTG)
- Programming (Powershell, Bash, Python (bonus)
- ITIL Certified is an advantage, but not required
- Experience in a service delivery best practice environment preferred
