The Hotel The Dixon, Tower Bridge, a boutique style hotel part of Autograph Collection Hotels opened its doors in late 2018. Taking center stage in the Tower Bridge neighborhood on Tooley Street, The Dixon, Tower Bridge, Autograph Collection is the new cultural hub for the capital’s center of artistic activity.
Named after John Dixon Butler, the architect who originally constructed the building in 1905 as a Magistrates Court and police station, the hotel takes inspiration from the area’s vibrant cultural heritage, while also capturing its new wave of creative cool. The 193 rooms will redefine the traditional boutique hotel by seamlessly incorporating the local neighborhood’s culture through an artful mix of heritage design. Think simple brickwork, tall windows and modern furniture from British designers that will sit alongside more classic pieces, whilst curated artworks from local artists will hang on the walls. Cleverly reflecting the buildings purpose as a courtroom, the restaurant will serve as a neighborhood oasis that will welcome not only hotel guests but also the local trade.

About the role
You’ll make sure our rooms are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for our guests after a busy day at work, or an exciting day out – creating a haven for them to escape and relax in – or get that last bit of work done. Working as part of the housekeeping team, you’ll make sure our rooms are always at their best and in line with company standards. In this role you’ll be organised, preparing for your day ahead, keeping on top of required supplies and amenities, always trying to minimise waste and reporting when more items are required. Although you’ll be allocated your own workload on a daily basis, teamwork is also important, working together to complete other tasks that may occur unexpectedly, or helping other team members that need support. In this role you can expect to fully service the hotel bedrooms (changing bed linen, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, restocking amenities etc.), assist with deep cleaning projects and ad-hoc duties throughout the month.
About you

- Enthusiastic, flexible, passionate & display a professional and courteous attitude
- Ability to work independently but also be an effective team player
- An excellent eye for detail with great time management and organisational skills
- Good communication skills
