The Print Systems Software group is looking for a new R&D Software Engineer to join Domino. Our team of around 40 talented professionals sits within the Research & Development department, where we design, build, and test the software that powers all Domino coding and marking products.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and review software features, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Take ownership of larger functional areas and sprint goals.
- Collaborate with test engineers to ensure robust test coverage and strategy implementation.
- Build deep expertise while developing broader skills (e.g., DevOps, CI/CD, Test Automation, UI, OS, architecture).
- Communicate progress clearly and contribute to architectural decisions and technology improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and help break down roadmaps into actionable backlogs.
- Mentor others in technical skills and best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to enhance our solutions.
About You
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Experience with task estimation, backlog refinement, and supporting Product Owners.
- Proven ability to deliver software across the SDLC and take ownership of team goals.
- Knowledge of at least one key practice (e.g., TDD, BDD, CI/CD).
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and collaborate effectively.
- Familiarity with Agile principles and ways of working.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships across teams.
- Experience with Qt/QML, security, and GitHub is desirable.
