About The Role

The Print Systems Software group is looking for a new FPGA Engineer to join Domino. Our team of around 40 talented professionals sits within the Research & Development department, where we design, build, and test the software that powers all Domino coding and marking products.

Responsibilities

You will be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery. We look to achieve our goals by having a progressive and adaptable mindset. Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering value to customers by developing, testing and reviewing software solutions on existing and new platforms.
  • Working alongside the team to ensure code has sufficient test coverage and is tested at the appropriate levels whilst following the test strategy.
  • Continuously developing your skills so you can help the team take tasks all the way through the SDLC.
  • Actively collaborating with individuals within the team to achieve our business objectives.
  • Writing maintainable, tested and compliant code that aligns with the designed software architecture.
  • Contributing to improvement activities. (e.g. developing tools, ways of working, engineering practices)
  • Refining, estimating, and planning the product backlog.

About You

We want to support you in being successful and proud of your achievements with us. We have listed some important attributes we’ll be looking for:

  • History of delivering or supporting software products at various stages of the product life cycle.
  • Knowledge of Python, C, System Verilog and TCL programming languages.
  • Experience in FPGA design environment e.g. Xilinx Vivado.
  • An understanding of FPGA timing closure.
  • High speed logic design using HDLs.
  • SOC based FPGAs with ARM based AXI bus architectures.
  • Knowledge of at least one software engineering practice. (e.g. TDD, BDD, CI/CD).
  • Demonstrate competence in version control.
  • Able to communicate complex ideas/ solutions/ problems to other members of the team.
  • Appreciation of agile ways of working, the values and principles.
