Level 6 machine Learning Apprentice Salary Range £22,000-£25,000

About the role

The Machine Learning (ML) Engineer apprenticeship will follow an external training programme to develop skills to master the entire ML lifecycle from data preparation to monitoring of deployed AI solutions. The role will sit within our Data Platform team in R&D, where you will work alongside data scientists, software engineers and DevOps engineers to design, build and deploy machine learning solutions using the knowledge gained in the training programme. This role is well suited to candidates who are interested in developing the skill‑set to provide a link between data science, software engineering and DevOps by deploying secure, maintainable ML solutions to solve complex business problems.

For those with less data science/ML knowledge there is an option to progress to the level 6 ML Engineer role by first undertaking the Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship programme. The level 4 programme will build competence in using python libraries, data visualisation tools and working with databases to build data analytics capability. Following successful completion of the level 4 apprenticeship, you will then progress to the level 6 ML Engineering role to further expand your capability. Both routes will offer rotations to different teams, which will provide a broad range of projects and expertise from different areas of the business. Domino apprentices also have the opportunity to join the Automate UK apprentice network which will provide opportunities to gain professional skills outside of the key focus area.
