About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Group Operations Fluids New Product Introduction team, based at our Liverpool ink manufacturing site. You will work closely with our ink development, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure that new ink developments are transitioned from design to robust industrialised products suitable for release to global customers.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead the Group Operations Fluids New Product Introduction team supporting new ink product developments across all printing technologies.
- Develop and coach the team delivering the best possible project outcomes.
- Deliver products to launch on time and to cost target with agreed scale‑up plans.
- Support seamless transition of new products from concept to full‑scale production.
- Collaborate with the ink development and manufacturing site teams to ensure suitability of design for manufacture.
- Champion the assessment and implementation of improved process, filling and handling automation equipment.
- Drive process efficiency improvement as part of NPI delivery.
- Ensure manufacturing protocols and SOP’s deliver products meeting tight specifications and adherence to GMP guidelines.
- Participate in the design, purchasing, installation and commissioning of any new manufacturing equipment that may be required.
- Integrate as a key member of our ink development project teams, ensuring that new products designed are robust and suitable for volume manufacture.
- Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping in all areas.
- Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are always adhered to.

Requirements
- A degree or higher qualification in Chemical/Process Engineering, Equipment Automation or related discipline.
- Experience of specifying, evaluating and delivering automated processing equipment.
- Passion for innovation, programme discipline and process optimisation.
- Strong awareness of process safety.
- Ability to engage, coach and motivate a team working across multi‑technology and multi‑site projects.
- Capable to analyse data, collaborate effectively, and drive cost efficiencies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience of working within automated ink/coating or packaging design and manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
