Overview

In this role you will oversee the end-to-end management of complex supplier contracts, aligning legal, regulatory and company standards with strategic commercial objectives. You will lead negotiations, adapt contract templates, and collaborate with legal, finance and operations to mitigate risk and drive value. The role sits in Procurement, supporting cross-functional teams across multiple jurisdictions and requires a practical, hands-on approach. You will help shape supplier governance and contract processes to enhance transparency and resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and revise contracts to align with policies and objectives
  • Lead and assist buyers in commercial negotiations for favorable terms and cost savings
  • Identify risks in contract terms and propose mitigations
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships as primary contract contact
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, operations and compliance to ensure alignment and execution
  • Analyze cost implications with finance and ensure financially beneficial terms
  • Manage full contract lifecycle from drafting to renewal and archiving
  • Implement ERP-driven document handling and analytics for transparency and value
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with laws and company policies
  • Develop and drive supplier governance framework for Production, NPD and Indirect Supplies
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract templates, negotiation processes and procurement strategies
  • Educate and train procurement teams towards managing small to mid-size contracts

Key requirements

  • Significant experience in contract management, procurement or commercial management with a track record in negotiating complex supplier agreements
  • Strong knowledge of UK contract law; international contracting experience beneficial (e.g., German or Swedish)
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of procurement best practices, compliance, risk management and supplier governance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience leading contract reviews and negotiations for informed decision-making
  • Commercial awareness, financial acumen and practical value delivery
