About the role

We’re looking for a Technical Applications Engineer to join our Technical Services & Solutions team.

This is a hands‑on, field‑based role focused on delivering low‑complexity technical integration solutions that sit between standard service activity and full project engineering.

While the role supports customers across the UK, preference will be given to candidates based in the North of England to support regional demand and reduce travel time.

You’ll work directly with customers and Service Engineers to deliver bespoke mechanical adaptations, simple integration packages, and installation support for Domino coding and marking equipment – ensuring solutions are safe, robust, and customer‑focused.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver small‑scale integration work, including bespoke brackets, mounts, and simple mechanical interfaces.
  • Carry out site surveys, take accurate measurements, and produce installation documentation.
  • Install bespoke mounting solutions and support Service Engineers during planned activities.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers throughout assigned work.
  • Maintain clear documentation and feedback issues, improvement ideas, and opportunities.
  • Support service operations during peak periods, within agreed scope.
  • Continuously develop your technical knowledge and customer service capability.

About you

  • Electro‑mechanical apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience of measurements and engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of electronics and software‑driven industrial systems.
  • Confident communicator, able to explain technical solutions clearly to customers.
  • Well organised, methodical, and calm under pressure.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel.

Domino values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer.

We welcome applications from all candidates; however, only those eligible to work in the UK without the need for additional immigration documentation will be considered for this position.

  • What you can expect
  • Competitive salary and generous benefits package, including 25 days of basic holiday with the option to buy or sell additional days.
  • Electric or hybrid company car.
  • Discretionary bonus scheme.
  • Life insurance.
  • Medical insurance with the option of purchasing a health cash plan, dental insurance, travel insurance, and cycle to work scheme.
