Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Waiting List Coordinator to join our team! This key role within the Trust requires exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. The successful candidate will manage waiting lists, support patients, clinical staff and the Trust in meeting operational and clinical goals, directly impacting timely high-quality care.

Main Duties

• Maintain high standard of service delivery in Waiting List and Reception areas.
• Liaise with various departments to schedule patient appointments according to protocols.
• Support clinical teams to meet waiting list targets and optimise theatre utilisation.
• Arrange transport and follow‑up appointments for patients.
• Collaborate closely with Patient Pathway Coordinators, Appointments Office, and medical staff to ensure seamless patient experience.

Qualifications

• Computer literate, proficient keyboard usage, high accuracy.
• Knowledge of NHS or other service providers.
• RSA II, ECDL, NVQ 3 or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with databases, spreadsheets (PAS, Excel).
• Good general education with GCSE English at grade C or above (or NVQ 2 equivalent).

Essential Experience

• Minimum 1 year clerical experience.
• Regular attendance and willingness to work flexible hours.

Desirable Experience

• 3 years office clerical background.
• 1 year customer care experience.
• IHRIM qualification.

Regular attendance and willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
