We have a vacancy for the position of Receptionist Administrator within our busy, family run, truly independent opticians.
The main duties are:
- Front of house - welcoming our patients and customers
- Managing the appointments, database and taking payments
- Answering the telephone and dealing with patient queries
- Administration, voucher claims, ordering
- Sales advice with our products and services
Part time position is approximately 31 hours, flexible 4 days per week including alternate Saturdays plus extra hours to cover when required. The practice opening hours are between 8.40am and 5.30pm.
The rate of pay is dependent on relevant reception experience starting from £19,844 per annum, plus pension scheme.
Bonuses are awarded on top of your basic rate to those who give great customer service, have good attendance, are team players and those with long, continued service.
You must enjoy interacting with the general public and have a positive outlook as well as being professional, friendly, courteous and composed.
Prior front of house sales, retail, reception and administration experience is welcome but is not a requirement as training will be given to you if unfamiliar with NHS and medical paperwork. Use of Excel and other software would also be an advantage and a good general level of education.
