We're excited to announce that we are looking for an exceptional Group Accountant which is a key role within Group Finance, responsible for delivering accurate, insightful and well-controlled financial reporting that supports business performance and strategic decision-making.
Working closely with senior Finance leaders, market finance teams, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and external auditors, you will help ensure stakeholders have confidence in the numbers that drive decisions across the business. Success in this role means producing high-quality reporting, strengthening financial control, providing clear analysis of performance and contributing to continuous improvement across the Group reporting landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely Group reporting that supports confident business and investment decisions
- Provide clear analysis of financial performance, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities and key drivers
- Support the production of annual and statutory reporting in line with IFRS requirements
- Partner with finance teams across the business to improve reporting quality and consistency
- Contribute to investor, lender and senior leadership reporting with insightful financial commentary
- Apply strong technical accounting knowledge to complex reporting matters and key judgements
- Help strengthen financial controls, governance and reporting documentation across the Group
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, systems and operational efficiency
- Support audit activity and build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Play an active role in improving the accuracy, transparency and effectiveness of financial reporting
What You’ll Bring
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Experience in Group reporting, financial control, audit or statutory reporting within insurance or regulated financial services
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insight
- Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with finance systems
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A detail-focused approach combined with sound professional judgement
- Ability to manage priorities and deliver to reporting deadlines in a complex environment
