We're excited to announce we're looking for a UK Finance Senior Manager to join our Group Finance team here at Domestic & General. The role will report into the UK Financial Controller and manage various finance deliverables for the UK market decision such as the UK monthly financial reporting, governance and insight that helps steer one of the UK business's most important functions.

You'll be the trusted finance partner behind key decisions, ensuring leaders have a clear view of performance, risk and opportunity. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Risk and the wider Group, you'll turn complex financial information into meaningful business insight while maintaining a strong control environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead financial reporting that provides clarity, confidence and strategic insight.
  • Deliver analysis influences executive and board-level decisions.
  • Own statutory reporting and external audit activity across UK entities.
  • Provide accounting expertise that supports commercial growth and business change.
  • Strengthen financial controls, governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Support solvency, cashflow and capital reporting through robust analysis.
  • Identify and implement improvements that enhance reporting quality and efficiency.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to challenge assumptions and improve outcomes.
  • Deliver meaningful forecasting and performance insight to support planning.
  • Support and develop colleagues as a senior member of the finance team.

What you’ll bring:

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in a complex business environment.
  • Ability to translate financial data into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial systems capability.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience operating within a controlled or regulated environment.
  • Insurance, Solvency II, IFRS, UK GAAP or US GAAP experience is advantageous.
