The RoleAs a Senior Underwriting Analyst, you will drive the profitability of our warranty portfolio across several major accounts. You will forecast and manage performance for both new and existing warranty lines spanning corporate and consumer products, directly influencing the organisation's growth. Working within a fast‐growing, dynamic environment, you will play a key role in ensuring our warranty business consistently exceeds internal targets and delivers sustained, profitable results.
The role is accountable for: Supporting delivery of strategic Underwriting objectives within the FY27 OKRsProducing profitability and pricing projections for new and existing products, and providing rating and proposition rules to client‐facing teamsLeading regular modelling and reporting of underwriting performance, recommending actions in response to emerging trendsContributing underwriting inputs to financial forecasts, including annual budgets and interim reforecastsSetting pricing structures that ensure products meet cost and margin targets through accurate costing and modellingConducting advanced data analysis (SQL, Excel, Power BI) to identify trends and inform recommendationsEnsuring compliance with data governance and quality standardsDriving process improvements through automation and enhanced analyticsAbout You: You will be able to demonstrate the below: Experience in a commercially focused underwriting, analytical role or pricing role.
Numerate degree (2:1) or equivalentStrong grasp of financial modelling, forecasting, and pricing fundamentalsAdvanced analytical skills with large datasets, using ExcelUnderstanding of extended warranty products (advantageous but not essential)Proficiency in data analysis/mining toolsExperience with SQL, Jira, Power BI (preferred)Critical thinking and problem‐solving skillsStrong commercial acumenEffective stakeholder management and influencing skillsIf you're a current D&G employee applying for an internal role, please ensure your Career Profile in Workday is up to date before submitting your application.
