As part of our ongoing business growth, we're excited to advertise this brand-new opportunity for an EU Finance Director to join our Finance team and work directly in our Growth Markets. This pan-European role leads financial performance across our Growth Markets, partnering with senior leaders to deliver the regional P&L, provide commercial insight and ensure strong financial governance. They will play a key role in shaping strategic decisions across investment, pricing and performance management while maintaining alignment with Group finance standards.
What you’ll do:
- Lead financial performance across the EU (Growth Markets), partnering closely with regional senior leaders to deliver the P&L and drive profitable growth.
- Own the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes for the region, ensuring disciplined, insight-led financial plans that support strategic priorities.
- Provide forward-looking analysis on performance, risks and opportunities, shaping commercial and strategic decision-making across diverse markets.
- Identify and execute actions that enhance revenue growth, strengthen margins and optimise cost performance across the region.
- Act as a trusted commercial partner to regional leadership teams, offering clear financial insight and constructive challenge to enable high-quality decisions.
- Ensure robust financial controls, compliance and risk management across Growth Markets, maintaining a strong governance environment.
- Uphold the accuracy, integrity and consistency of financial reporting in line with Group policies, standards and expectations.
- Oversee statutory, regulatory and audit requirements across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring full compliance and timely delivery.
- Lead and develop a multi-country finance organisation, building capability, consistency and accountability across the region.
- Build strong working relationships with Group Finance and Shared Services to ensure alignment, standardisation and seamless collaboration.
- Champion finance transformation and continuous improvement, driving better data quality, stronger insight and more efficient, scalable processes.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven regional finance leadership experience, with strong P&L ownership, commercial finance expertise and a track record of driving profitable growth across multiple markets.
- Deep understanding of multi-country regulatory, statutory and governance environments, with the ability to maintain high standards of compliance and financial control, preferably within continental European countries.
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen, able to provide forward-looking insight, identify risks and opportunities, and influence high-quality decision-making.
- Advanced analytical capability, using data, modelling and insight to shape strategy, pricing, investment and performance outcomes.
- Experience leading financial performance across diverse markets, partnering with senior leaders to deliver regional results and improve revenue, margin and cost efficiency.
- Credibility as a trusted business partner, able to challenge constructively, influence senior stakeholders and operate with independence and sound judgement.
- Leadership experience building and developing multi-country finance teams, driving capability, consistency, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
- A track record in finance transformation, including process standardisation, data quality improvement and enhancing reporting insight and efficiency.
