We have a fantastic opportunity Head of Finance Business Partnering UK to join our Group Finance team here at Domestic.
The role will lead the Finance Business Partnering capability across the UK market, partnering with senior business leaders to drive financial performance, strategic decision-making and execution of business priorities.
The role acts as the primary link between Finance and the UK leadership team, ensuring robust planning, performance management, investment governance and commercial decision support across the organisation.
Working closely with the UK Finance Director, the role provides leadership to the Business Partnering team, embedding a proactive, insight-led approach that balances commercial opportunity with financial discipline.
The Head of Finance Business Partnering UK enables leaders to make informed decisions through high-quality analysis, challenge and forward-looking insight while driving consistency of financial management practices across the UK business.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the UK Finance Business Partnering team, providing guidance, coaching and development to build a high-performing function.
- Partner closely with UK Leadership Team members to support delivery of financial and operational objectives.
- Drive a proactive business partnering approach, providing financial insight, challenge and decision support to senior stakeholders.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance review activities across supported business areas.
- Ensure alignment of business plans and resource allocation decisions with UK and Group strategic priorities.
- Provide robust challenge and recommendations on investment proposals, business cases and commercial initiatives.
- Deliver forward-looking analysis, scenario modelling and evaluation of strategic opportunities and risks.
- Facilitate performance management discussions, ensuring leaders understand financial outcomes, root causes and required actions.
- Support identification and delivery of revenue growth, productivity and cost optimisation opportunities.
- Establish consistent approaches to financial reporting, performance measurement and KPI management across business functions.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Financial Control, Treasury and Shared Services teams to ensure joined-up financial planning and reporting.
- Lead financial governance activities across supported business areas, ensuring adherence to Group policies and standards.
- Support organisational change, transformation initiatives and strategic programmes through effective financial evaluation and tracking.
- Develop financial capability across the business by improving financial literacy and commercial awareness among leaders.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, reporting tools and business partnering practices.
What you'll bring
- Significant experience in FP&A and business partnering within a complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of commercial finance
- Proven track record of influencing senior leaders and supporting strategic decision making.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, performance management and investment appraisal.
- Experience leading teams within matrix environments and operating across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Strong analytical and commercial capability, with expertise in financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of governance, controls and risk management requirements.
- Professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred.
- Typically supports business areas with significant cost bases and contributes to delivery of UK P&L objectives.
