A bit about the job:
This role sits within the IT Onboarding team working alongside the New Joiner Coordinators to arrange the despatch of equipment to new starters in the UK, and the return of equipment from leavers. Build laptops to create a supportive and seamless onboarding and off-boarding experience and provide initial technical support with new starters as required.
Your responsibilities:
- Contact leavers to arrange collection of company devices including laptops, monitors and accessories
- Follow up on leavers that have not returned equipment
- Arrange delivery of new starters and replacement equipment
- Update company asset register for items sent and returned
- Raise courier waybills for dispatched and collected items
- Assist with the preparation and boxing of items to be sent
- Test equipment prior to dispatch and when returned
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Building and patching laptops for contact centre and back-office users
- Preparing and shipping devices to all UK contact centre new starters
- Preparing and shipping devices to the UK back-office
- Testing hardware such as new starters' laptops prior to sending
- Diagnosing and repairing faulty returned laptops
- Keeping ServiceNow hardware asset table updated by assigning devices and placing them back into stock once collected
- Collecting devices from leavers and existing employees who have received replacements
- Reviewing and approving CitySprint invoices
- Monitoring and managing packaging and stationary stock levels for OIAB and ordering when necessary
- Monitoring and managing the balance on Simply Mail account and Lyreco P.O.
- Collaborating with the Legal team to assist in the management of unresponsive leavers and minimise equipment loss
- Contacting new starters in advance of their start date to establish and confirm delivery dates for equipment
- Contacting couriers about overdue and failed deliveries
