Your Impact

As our Underwriting Ratings Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind D&G’s rating strategy, ensuring our rates are accurate, effective, and aligned with business and regulatory expectations. You’ll lead a high‐performing team, strengthen our rating governance, and shape the frameworks and tools that power our UK and ROI underwriting. This is a role where your expertise will directly influence business performance, customer outcomes, and the evolution of our underwriting function.

What You’ll Lead

  • Managing and developing a team of Rating Analysts.
  • Delivering accurate, timely rating processes for new business and renewals across multiple regions.
  • Partnering with UK, EU, and US teams to set and refine ratings for OEM and retail clients.
  • Owning incident management for rating defects, from triage to prevention.
  • Overseeing rating platform operations and migrations to ensure seamless performance.
  • Driving automation, optimisation, and continuous improvement across rating systems and processes.
  • Governing change control, testing, and release sign‐off with a strong focus on auditability and compliance.

What You Bring

  • Experience with underwriting rating systems, pricing platforms, or database‐driven environments.
  • Strong knowledge of systems such as AS400, Ratabase, or WIMA.
  • Data analysis skills using SQL and Power BI.
  • Confident communication and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Excellent prioritisation and time‐management skills.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing talent.
