Are you a recent graduate with strong analytical skills and a passion for understanding how businesses make commercial decisions? Weβre looking for an exceptional Graduate Commercial Finance Analyst to join our high-performing Commercial Finance team.
In this pivotal role, youβll work closely with our Underwriting, Sales, Marketing and Finance functions to help ensure we achieve the desired profitability across new and existing lines of our warranty business. This is a fantastic entry point for a graduate who wants to build a career in commercial finance and gain exposure across multiple parts of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of warranty products and client accounts.
- Ensuring commercial arrangements deliver against target margins through accurate costing and modelling.
- Presenting commercial propositions to senior management and external clients.
- Producing long-term financial forecasts and cash flows, including investment appraisal analysis.
- Liaising with all commercial areas of the D&G business to deliver profitable warranty products.
- Applying appropriate regulatory requirements including GDPR.
- Assessing and advising on warranty product risk.
- Developing and delivering creative solutions to complex warranty design problems.
Skills and experience required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate complex matters in simple, understandable terms.
- Strong interpersonal skills / stakeholder management.
- Graduated with a numerical degree.
- Strong numerical skills to be able to work.
- Comfortable using advanced Excel and experience with SQL would be desirable but not essential.
- Advantage of completing a commercial finance internship would be ideal but not essential.
