Location: Gwynedd and Anglesey
DASU North Wales is delighted to announce that we are recruiting for thee position of Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) for the Gwynedd and Anglesey regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop individualised safety plans.
- Liaise with other agencies and professionals to coordinate support services.
- Offer emotional support and practical advice to empower survivors.
- Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to case management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in domestic violence support or a related field.
- IDVA qualification or a commitment to working towards the qualification
- Strong understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact on individuals and families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Proficiency in IT and case management systems.
- Ability to speak Welsh is essential.
