Job Overview
Dome Consulting is seeking an ambitious Junior Electrical Commissioning Manager / Graduate Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join its commissioning team and work across multiple high-profile projects in Central London. This opportunity is designed for electrical engineers who want to develop a specialist career in commissioning management while gaining practical experience on complex commercial and high-specification construction projects.
The role provides exposure to the complete electrical commissioning process, including installation review, inspection, testing, commissioning, documentation, progress reporting, issue resolution, and integrated systems testing. Candidates with practical experience in electrical installation, inspection, testing, or commissioning are encouraged to apply.
Electrical Engineering graduates with strong technical knowledge, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in commissioning management will also be considered. The position offers clear career growth, professional development, practical training, and progression toward a Commissioning Manager role .
Key Responsibilities
- Support electrical commissioning activities across multiple projects.
- Attend site meetings and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams.
- Review electrical installation works and commissioning requirements.
- Support electrical inspection, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Review test results, commissioning documentation, and technical information.
- Assist with commissioning programmes, schedules, and progress reporting.
- Identify, record, and track commissioning issues through to resolution.
- Witness testing and demonstrations of electrical systems.
- Support preparation and review of commissioning and handover documentation.
- Develop an understanding of integrated systems testing and building-services interactions.
- Work closely with Senior Commissioning Managers and progressively take responsibility for commissioning activities and packages.
- Work across multiple Central London projects, gaining exposure to different buildings, systems, contractors, and clients.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline .
- Practical experience in electrical installation, inspection, testing, or commissioning is advantageous.
- Knowledge of electrical systems used in commercial buildings.
- Experience with, or a strong understanding of, electrical inspection and testing.
- 2391 qualification or equivalent practical inspection and testing experience is highly advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and specifications.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and organisational abilities.
- Professional and confident approach when working with contractors and project teams.
- Willingness to work on site and travel between Central London projects.
- Genuine interest in developing a long-term career in commissioning management.
Graduate Candidates
Recent Electrical Engineering graduates may also be considered. Candidates should ideally demonstrate:
- Strong Electrical Engineering academic background.
- Placement or internship experience in construction, MEP, building services, or engineering.
- Strong technical understanding and problem-solving ability.

Salary, Benefits & Career Growth
Salary: £40,000-£50,000 per year
