The Commercial Director will be responsible for driving new business and managing relationships with key clients across Europe & the UK. This role requires a strategic thinker who can understand client needs, develop tailored solutions, and close complex, high-value deals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in agency sales, a strong understanding of ecommerce and Shopify, and the ability to build long-term client relationships with senior stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify, target, and engage with key clients. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior decision-makers.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed revenue targets, including prospecting, qualifying leads, presenting solutions, and negotiating contracts.
- Tailored Solutions: Collaborate with internal teams (strategy, creative, engineering) to develop customized solutions aligned with client business goals.
- Client Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that clearly communicate Domaine’s value.
- Account Growth: Manage and grow existing client accounts, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to inform sales strategy and client conversations.
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline, and client engagement. Use data to optimize strategy and decision-making.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and high client satisfaction.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience: 5+ years in ecommerce sales, business development, or account management, preferably within an agency environment.
- Proven Success: Track record of closing high-value deals and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of ecommerce, Shopify ecosystem, and digital agency landscape.
- Relationship-Building: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust with stakeholders at multiple levels.
