A well-established Dominica hotel is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a team of 16-20 across Maintenance and Landscaping. This is a hands-on leadership role for a disciplined, people-focused operator who can build structure, drive accountability, and uphold the operational standards that support a consistently strong guest experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 16-20 across maintenance and landscaping operations.
  • Build and execute a robust preventative maintenance programme across all guest rooms and BOH systems.
  • Oversee generators, mechanical and electrical infrastructure, elevators, pool, AC systems, sewage treatment, and sustainability functions.
  • Strengthen supervisors and drive consistent follow-through on operational priorities.
  • Plan proactively, anticipate issues, and ensure the department runs with minimal disruption.
  • Maintain and advance the hotel's sustainability commitments, including Green Globe or equivalent certifications.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support seamless guest and operational outcomes.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Proven leadership experience in maintenance or facilities management within hotels or resorts.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hotel infrastructure: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, elevators, pools, generators, and sewage systems.
  • Track record of developing teams, raising standards, and building high-performance cultures.
  • Structured, organised, and forward-thinking — a proactive planner, not a reactive responder.
