Responsibility
- Wash and sanitise cookware, utensils, dishes and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain clean preparation areas, floors, sinks and workstations.
- Operate dishwashing equipment and handle cleaning products safely.
- Organise and return clean kitchenware to designated storage areas.
- Collect and dispose of kitchen waste according to sanitation procedures.
- Assist with receiving, moving and storing kitchen supplies when required.
- Monitor cleaning materials and report shortages or equipment problems.
- Support chefs and kitchen personnel during preparation, service and closing activities.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in a similar capacity
- Experience in operating kitchen equipment and tools
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
- Must be able to work with industrial-strength cleaning chemicals
