Responsibilities
- Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
- Supporting daily routines, activities, education, and life skills
- Promoting emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour
- Maintaining clear boundaries and providing consistent support
- Working closely with colleagues, families, and external professionals
- Recording and reporting information accurately
- Supporting safeguarding and ensuring the highest standards of care
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, young people, or individuals with Learning Disabilities
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Confidence in managing challenging situations professionally
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality care and support
- Residential childcare experience and relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
Pay range and compensation package
£25,359 - £34,055 per year* £13.50 per hour + £50 per sleep-in
