We are recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead a therapeutic children's home supporting young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, leading a dedicated team and creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people can thrive.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operation of the children's home
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, child-centred care
- Promote safeguarding and positive outcomes for young people
- Lead, support, and develop a committed residential care team
- Oversee care planning, case management, staffing rotas, and operational performance
- Build strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals
- Maintain compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements
- Foster a positive, reflective, and supportive team culture
Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Significant experience within a children's residential care setting
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and Children's Homes Regulations
- Proven leadership and people management experience
- Ability to manage a regulated service and maintain high-quality documentation
- Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a similar role within a residential childcare setting
- Knowledge of therapeutic approaches to care
