We are looking for an experienced Lead Industrial Designer to join our fast-growing team. This person could be a Lead, or a Senior soon to be progressing into the Lead role. You will be an integral part of the studio and be exposed to all aspects of a design project, being involved in every stage of the process, from research to strategy, ideation to visualisation. As a senior/lead, you will also be expected to lead projects and manage client relationships.

DUTIES

  • Leading a team of juniors, mid-weight and senior staff, reporting to the Creative Director
  • Client meetings and correspondence
  • Participation in ideation sessions
  • Engage in and management of; desktop and field research
  • Strategic design thinking
  • Managing projects, including schedule, resources, deliverables, and reviews
  • CAD, visualisation and presentation creation

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES (REQUIRED)

  • BA or MA Degree in Industrial Design
  • At least eight years of industry experience (post-graduation)
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to think holistically about projects and stakeholder requirements—using strategic creativity to help our partners achieve their goals
  • Eagerness to become part of a tight-knit team and a brand advocate
  • Ability to manage and lead creative projects from start to finish
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Creativity and innovation-focused
  • Exceptional CAD skills; must include Rhino (3D) and Adobe (2D)
  • Able to use Keyshot
  • Able to present work beautifully, with clarity

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required
  • A strong understanding of design for manufacture
