Dolmen Insurance, a long-established insurance broker, is looking to recruit a Commercial Lines Account Handler in our Newry office. We are seeking highly motivated, talented and experienced individuals to join our Broker team and play an important part in the expansion of our business.
Your primary responsibility will be to support the NI commercial team by building tailored insurance solutions for clients whilst delivering excellent customer service.
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, talented and driven insurance Account Handler to join our growing commercial team in Northern Ireland. You will support the Commercial Account Director and Managers on new business and renewal placement with insurer partners. You will also support the development of new and existing clients.
What you will be responsible for:
- Create risk presentation submissions for insurers working closely with the account management team
- Obtain insurance quotations via insurer IT platforms
- Liaise and negotiate with insurers on a regular basis
- Obtain suitable insurance solutions for clients
- Create comprehensive client presentation packs ensuring all detail is checked and correct
- Manage renewal cycles ensuring clients receive the correct information within procedure timelines
- Deliver high quality service to our clients
- Provide monthly reporting
- Maintain high levels of client confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with internal operating procedures and FCA regulations
Knowledge and experience required:
- 3 years experience in a similar account handler role
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products
- IT proficient and experience with software house platforms / insurer portals
Skills required:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confident engaging with internal colleagues and insurers
- Ability to be part of a growing team, collaborating daily
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Self-driven and motivated
Desirable Criteria:
- CII qualification (or progress towards)
Remuneration Package:
Competitive salary package including performance bonus, based on experience.
