Principal Duties and Responsibilities Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash. Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors. Keep all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery. When the Store Manager is not present, have supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates. Process all SSC Corporate directives and related store communications. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily. Help manage cashiering activities, ensuring cash handling practices are followed. Manage promotional fixtures and displays for store effectiveness. Oversee seasonal areas and signage in the store. Handle damaged merchandise daily. Assist in creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses. Maintain checkout area merchandising to maximize impulse sales. Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications Prefer prior retail and management experience. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills. Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
