DolarApp is hiring a Head of Controlling to build our international accounting and financial control function from the ground up. We’re looking for a fintech-savvy, detail-oriented accounting leader to drive accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our financial processes as we expand across Latin America. We’re a fast-growing fintech on a mission to redefine how Latin America manages its finances, and this is your opportunity to be a crucial part of that transformation. This role can be based in London, Mexico City, São Paulo, or Buenos Aires, with a hybrid setup supported in each. While we have a growing hub in London (visa and relocation sponsorship available), our team is distributed across LATAM and Europe.
What you’ll be doing:
- Take full ownership of our accounting and controlling function across multiple entities and countries.
- Lead all close, reporting, and consolidation processes.
- Ensure local and group-level compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards and coordinate with external auditors.
- Oversee all regulatory filings and tax obligations across LATAM markets (Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia).
- Build and implement a company-wide ERP system including setup of a Group Chart of Accounts.
- Set up robust A/P and A/R processes and collaborate with Treasury on high-volume transactions.
- Drive process improvements and automation across all finance workflows.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
What you’ll need:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, controlling, or financial operations within fast-paced or multinational environments.
- Strong knowledge of multi-entity consolidation, IFRS, GAAP, and international compliance.
- Hands-on experience leading ERP implementation projects.
- Analytical mindset able to withstand fast-paced, high-uncertainty, high-growth fintech environment.
- Must have fintech experience ideally within a start-up environment.
- Experience in high growth, pre-IPO / IPO processes (not mandatory).
