Job Description

Main duties and other tasks

  • Contract Management
  • Assist in the preparation, review, negotiation, and execution of customer, supplier, and subcontractor contracts.
  • Completing Pre-Qualification Questions, reviewing NDA, SLA, PSA and assisting in Tenders
  • Support tender and bid processes by reviewing contractual terms and conditions.
  • Support project managers and operational teams with contract interpretation and guidance.
  • Preparing Applications for payment where applicable ( minimal)
  • Evaluate contractual implications of project decisions and changes
  • Maintaining qualifications such as Constructionline, Builders Profile, etc.
  • Ensuring maintenance Contracts are in place.
  • Improve Cost Control
  • Customer & Supplier Monitoring Sheet - process for ongoing renewals and reviews.
  • Assist with debt collection and legal action
  • Manage claims from / againstcustomers and suppliers
  • Support the wider team in the resolution of contractual claims and disputes
  • Review, Update and manage T&Cs
  • Ensure relevant documentation is managed appropriately.
  • Control and Implement Doka T&Cs in everyday business (Doka2.0)
  • Ensure adequate agreements and documentation is in place for Large Scale Projects (90k+ revenue)
  • Participate in negotiation, discussions and development
  • Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company procedures.
  • Monitor adherence to contractual obligations by all parties.
  • Support internal and external audits relating to contract management and internal policies.
  • Maintain local policies and procedures in Consense in line with Head Office policies.
  • Ensure contract documentation is secure, up-to-date, and readily accessible.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Ensure commercial governance and risk management compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Contract compliance.
  • Reduction in contractual and commercial risks.
  • Successful management of claims and disputes.
  • Timely contract execution and renewal.
  • Customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Audit and regulatory compliance results.

Qualifications

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of commercial principles, contract management, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience negotiating and managing high-value contracts.
  • Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, facilities management, or infrastructure sectors preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractor and client relationships
  • Working Conditions
  • Office-based three days a week. Occasional travel to other sites (Sheffield/Glasgow) and some customer site visits.
  • Interaction with clients, subcontractors, legal advisors, and senior leadership.
  • Full-time position.
