Responsibilities

  • Technical leadership: design and lead scalable, high‑performance CPQ/Revenue Cloud systems while ensuring rigorous adherence to security and Salesforce best practices.
  • Quality assurance: assist in enforcing high code quality standards, optimise for performance and scalability, and uphold Salesforce development best practices through code reviews and driving the adoption of emerging tools and frameworks.
  • Stakeholder engagement: collaborate with Product and key stakeholders to translate business "wants" into technical "needs," driving a superior quoting experience, quote acceptance and revenue growth.
  • Team management: mentor developers, handle performance and conflict resolution, and foster a collaborative, psychologically safe team environment.
  • Delivery excellence: own the end‑to‑end development lifecycle, implement robust testing strategies and CI/CD to ensure stability and high‑quality deliverables.
  • Operational excellence: act as the primary expert for complex technical challenges and production system stability in collaboration with Support.

Qualifications

  • Salesforce Mastery: demonstrable experience with Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, and Salesforce Revenue Cloud (ideally).
  • Advanced CPQ: expert‑level, hands‑on proficiency in advanced Salesforce CPQ, specifically in product modelling, pricing waterfalls, calculation sequences, and advanced approvals. Must be paired with strong development expertise in Apex, LWC, JavaScript (QCP), and Flows to build, test, and extend complex CPQ functionality, including API integrations.
  • Security & Scale: deep knowledge of the Salesforce security model, including sharing rules, roles, profiles, permission sets, and governor limits.
  • Engineering & DevOps: proficiency in using Git for version control and managing automated deployment pipelines.
  • Integration Architecture: knowledge of various integration patterns and how CPQ/Experience Cloud interacts with the wider ecosystem.
  • Observability: ability to implement monitoring tools to track the system’s health proactively, and to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
