The role
As an Android Engineer at Dojo, you’ll be at the forefront of creating our brand-new merchant app from the ground up, shaping how business owners interact with us every day. We’re looking for a product-focused engineer who takes real ownership of their work, communicates clearly, and thrives on feedback. You’ll partner closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers, helping us define how and what we build to shape the next generation of merchant tools.
What you will do...
  • Solve customer pains by crafting features in collaboration with multi-disciplinary squads.
  • Contribute significantly to the development of our new app, owning your code and features from end to end.
  • Help create an environment where problems can be shared, understood, and resolved, keeping the customer at the heart of every decision.
  • Collaborate with your squad and the wider Android engineering chapter to build a best-in-class product.
What you will bring...
  • Strong knowledge of Kotlin and the Android Framework, particularly Jetpack Compose.
  • A product-focused mindset and experience making data-informed decisions.
  • A solid grasp of reactive programming (Coroutines, RXJava) and architecture patterns like MVVM and Clean Architecture.
  • An understanding of unit and UI testing best practices (e.g., Mockk, Robolectric, JUnit).
  • Great communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience with Dependency Injection, Jetpack Libraries, and CI tools like Bitrise is a plus.
