But we’re just getting started. Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.

Role Overview

Dojo is at a pivotal point where Salesforce is the backbone of our multi-channel growth, and a critical engine for our product propositions. We are looking for a Salesforce Platform Lead to treat our Salesforce instance as a world-class product, moving beyond simple administration to a high-maturity PAAS model. As the lead of the “Salesforce Centre of Excellence”, you will bridge the gap between ambitious business strategy and rigorous engineering execution. You’ll be the person who ensures that as we scale, our platform remains performant, secure, compliant, and maintainable. If you are a technical visionary who enjoys setting the gold standard for DevOps, security, and architectural integrity, while mentoring the next generation of Salesforce talent, this is your stage.

What You Will Do

  • Architect the paved road: establish and maintain the standard for Salesforce engineering, including environment management, release management, and mature DevOps to enable seamless, de-risked deployments.
  • Lead the Centre of Excellence (CoE): define the governance models and architectural guardrails that allow federated delivery teams to build on the platform without creating technical debt or compromising system integrity.
  • Strategic Platform Ownership: act as the primary advisor to stakeholders on the Salesforce roadmap, identifying "Buy vs. Build" opportunities and ensuring we leverage out-of-the-box functionality before resorting to custom code.
  • Security & Compliance Stewardship: own the platform’s health and security posture, implementing robust monitoring, observability, and data governance practices that satisfy enterprise-grade audit requirements.
  • Enablement & Talent Development: create a vibrant internal Salesforce community by defining clear career paths, providing mentorship to developers, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety.
  • Vendor & Ecosystem Management: manage our strategic relationship with Salesforce and third-party partners, ensuring we maximise our ROI on licenses and stay ahead of the curve with new releases and pilot features.

What You Will Bring

  • Scaled platform experience: a proven track record of leading Salesforce engineering in high-growth or enterprise environments, specifically managing multi-cloud implementations at scale.
  • Engineering rigour: deep expertise in modern software development lifecycles, including experience with version control (Git), Apex design patterns, and "well-architected" framework principles.
  • Governance mastery: demonstrated experience building or running a Salesforce CoE, with the ability to balance strict architectural governance with the need for delivery speed.
  • Stakeholder influence: exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical trade-offs into business value for C-suite and Product leadership.
  • Leadership & mentorship: experience managing high-performing engineering teams, with a focus on coaching, performance management, and building a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
  • Commercial acumen: a strategic mindset regarding Salesforce’s licensing models and the ability to manage third-party vendors and consultancies effectively.
