We are reinventing payments. In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for inâperson commerce, is game changing. Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year. But we are just getting started. Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.
The role focuses on the operational aspects of the employee lifecycle for our 1,000+ workforce in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Italy & France. You will ensure our peopleârelated systems, processes and employee helpdesk run smoothly on an ongoing basis and continue to evolve as Dojo scales up in the UK and internationally.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid initial grounding in People Operations to get involved with all phases of the employee lifecycle. You are someone who loves:
- Regular timetables and cadences - getting into a rhythm
- Efficiently executing processes and spotting opportunities to better document and refine them
- HR policies & compliance
The People Operations team is going through a period of transformation and growth, and this role will support a number of pieces of work related to building the foundations of People Operations, as well as managing recurring, ongoing 'Business As Usual' tasks.
What you will do:
- Support the People Operations Manager and existing team of two People Operations Specialists to provide an efficient, effective people support function.
- Onboarding and offboarding processes: ensuring new employees and contractors are set up on our systems, have successfully completed preâemployment checks, and are set up for success on day one; ensuring leavers have a smooth departure.
- Employee helpdesk management: answering employee queries across various topics including ways of working, references and leave; processing job changes and other employee data changes in partnership with the People Partnering function.
- Employee data: Owning the accuracy of our employee records across multiple systems including Workday, Culture Amp and Google Sheets; supporting data requests from across the business while maintaining data privacy compliance.
- Projectâbased employee support: including visa application management, parental leave, and other adâhoc requests.
- Process improvement: Working as a team to identify and act on opportunities to improve our existing processes, documentation and ways of working.
What you will bring:
- Solid initial experience of people operations in the UK and, ideally, another European market.
- Experience in ambiguous work environments where you have had to find creative workarounds and build things from scratch when necessary.
- A commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in a fastâmoving environment; the ability to bring structure to your own work where systems and processes are still maturing.
- A dataâdriven mindset, and understanding that it takes 'good data in' to get 'good data out'.
- Experience with Workday or a similarly mature HRIS.
We believe our best work happens when we collaborate inâperson. These 'together days' foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas. That is why we have an officeâfirst culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.
If the following speaks to you, letâs talk:
- You are curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
- You are relentless. You keep going even when itâs easier not to.
- You are customerâobsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion at Dojo is fundamental to creating relevant, innovative products. Our drive to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion is closely linked to helping employees thrive and innovating for better customer experiences.
